Human Remains - Using Sickness As A Hero

Rating - 8/10

By Zach Finkelstein

This is a good band. Once you get used to the vocals which are sort of irritating at first, the rest of the music will sort of open up for you. Cool guitar riffs combined with strange guitar and bass noises give the band a new edge but they're not exactly being "experimental".

The drummer is an asset. The drum beats are very interesting to listen and sometimes they seem to be extremely musical. Cool songs: "Weeding Out The Thorns" (great riff), "Rote" and "Swollen". Unfortunantely the album isn't even 30 minutes long and with the last song being 39 seconds of nothing, which is something I just can't appreciate (because it's gay), this album gets an 8/10.
